Wow. Just wow. This movie was amazing. This may be due to the story line hitting close to home, but I really do believe this is a brilliant film. I laughed, I cried, I cheered, I booed. The entire gambit of emotions was experienced in less than 2 hours.
I was really impressed with the acting. There are INTENSE emotions in this film and the actors were entirely committed to their roles. The quick switches between JD and Willadean were perfect and sooo true. Switch on, switch off. That really is how it happens.
Any time I leave a theater having to clean mascara off my cheeks, I know it's a good movie. I was kicking myself for not bringing tissues! What was I thinking?!! Oh wait... guess I wasn't thinking...
Anyway, I WANT the soundtrack to this movie. Debby Holiday sang some original works by Joe Patrick Ward, which were fabulous. I loved Trailer Trash Blues (I think that was the name of the song).
See this movie. But see it when you can have a good cry.
Favorite Scene: Willadean and LaSonia talking about killing JD. (made me wonder if you really can kill someone by injecting air into them - cause that is a good thing to know!!!)
Movie reviews for those of us who just like to be entertained. Just giving ya the fun factors.

Fantastic film!!! I loved it! I laughed so much my stomach and face hurt. The writing and acting were amazing.
Sam Rockwell was brilliant. I love his acting. He was so funny and I actually wondered if a bit of the film was improv.
There was violence in the movie, but a lot of it ended up being funny. Some of it was just so unexpected you couldn't help but laugh.
See this movie - you will laugh out loud.
Favorite Scene: In the desert around the fire when Billy shared his story.
Favorite Quote: The Quaker Psychopath

First off, this is a SyFy channel movie. Second, it's close to Halloween so I'm partial to scary movies right now.
I did find this horror movie to be right up my alley in horror films. It was funny and actually scared me in a couple places. The acting wasn't that great and it was a low budget film, but I think they did a good job with what they had.
Seeing Morgan Fairchild in the movie was kinda funny. I loved the scene where she was talking to her dolls. That was just classic for me.
I'd say this is worth seeing as a Halloween flick. It's amusing. And I think there may be an American Horror House 2!!! I'd watch it.
Favorite Scene: The one pledge getting pushed out the window and the poor PI's reaction.

Bruce Willis still has it. He is so bad ass!
I do have more to say about the movie, but did I mention that Bruce Willis is friggin amazing? Oh, yeah... the first line of my review kinda says that.
Seriously though, I thought Joseph Gordon-Levitt did a great job being a young Bruce (Joe). His expressions in some of the scenes almost made me laugh cause he was making Bruce faces.
The action in the movie rocked, but it did get a little slow in a couple places. It was also a bit predictable. I can't give specifics cause I don't want to spoil anything for those who haven't seen it.
I highly recommend the movie and consider it worth while seeing in the theater.
Favorite Lines:
"I'm from the future. You should go to China."
"Put a glowing thing around your neck or something."
Favorite Scene: Bruce (Joe) taking all the bad boys down. Yep, that's hot.

I'm too scared to sleep tonight. Maybe I shouldn't have watched a scary movie alone right before bedtime. This kinda movie freaks me out. I can take the whole "crazy people in the woods chop up the sinful teenagers" horror movies. I can even take the "mental patient escapes and hunts down a pretty girl" and the "vampire gets hungry and goes to the big city to eat" films, but paranormal bizarreness... freakazoid.
My fear factor is taken into account in this rating. If I wasn't scared or freaked out, well, it wouldn't have gotten 3 stars (well, duh...).
The editing of the movie was well done and it contributed to my uneasiness. I liked the cuts and overlays that they did. It was good timing and very appropriate for the style of film. The music was good at first. Scary music would play like something was about to happen, then nothing scary. It started to get old by the end though. Yep, the music was a tease.
I recommend this movie, but if you are like me when it comes to the paranormal, don't watch it alone at night.
Favorite Scene: Michael Keaton tells the granddaughter that her grandmother had been contacting him for the past week - but she had only died 2 days before! (FREAKY)

Worst love kiss on screen I have ever seen. Couldn't the director get even a little passion out of Carmen Electra and Chris O'Connell? I would have been more than happy to show Carmen how to passionately kiss him.
Carmen Electra was absolutely horrible in this move. It was obvious why they had cast her. If I had seen one more gratuitous bikini shot of her, I was going to have to stab my eyeballs out. Dude, really?
Brooke Hogan was far better in this movie than Carmen Electra. I actually kinda liked Brooke in the role as Kate. She was pretty kick ass. I loved it when she said her dad was a welder. No he wasn't, he's a wrestler. Hehe
Anyway, the entertainment value was high because I was laughing at half of the things going on. It's so totally outrageous it's funny.
Favorite Scene: Lindsey's melt down and Kate's reaction - perfect.

First off, it wasn't quite as good as the first, cause, well... ya just can't top Schwarzenegger. Second, I loved looking at the movie. There were some pretty cool graphics going on in it. Third, it's a total action movie and, if you read my posts, I'm all about action and sci fi.
I was not expecting Collin Farrell to do as well as he did. I liked him in it. Maybe I was just being too critical cause he isn't Arnold. I'm giving him his props though - good job Mr. Farrell!
One thing I kept thinking is that Kate Beckinsale really should have put her hair up in a pony tale. She's gonna have some REALLY bad tangles in her hair. Jessica Biel too, but at least she had hers up for part of the movie. Why I was concerned about Kate's hair is beyond me. I kept thinking it though.
I recommend this movie. For those who love the first one, I don't think it will disappoint. There are a couple nice things they through in to keep 1st movie fans happy.
